There are 1.8 billion websites worldwide. The average web design cost (which includes launching and designing it) is 12000–150000$. Simple arithmetic operations allow us to understand that trillions of dollars are spent on website creation. At the same time, 5 to 15 per cent of all sites will be abandoned before or shortly after delivery due to poor usability. This amounts to $150 billion lost. This loss can be avoided with a user-centred design approach. What does it mean for us? When your systems provide a poor user experience, you lose. A good designer never forgets to get to know all the new tips and tricks of user experience to find the best solution to the task.
