A couple of months ago I wrote an article about 5 noteworthy tips for getting started with the magical tool that is Webflow. Special shout out to everyone who read it, shared it, and sent me kind words! ❤️ The plan was to have written about 10 things, but that would have been a super long article. So I decided to break that article into two parts. As promised, here’s the second part!

1. Understanding Webflow’s not simple pricing plans

One thing that confused me (and I believe it has confused many others) when I started using Webflow isn’t even related to the tool itself. It’s the pricing plans. Webflow has two different types of pricing plans: Site plans and Account plans.

Account Plans

As the name suggests, Account plans are related to your actual account with Webflow. These plans determine how many Webflow projects you can have at any moment, the ability to export code, transfer projects to another account, site password protection, among a couple of other features. In the Starter (and free) plan, you can have 2 projects (unhosted sites), client billing, and a free staging environment (this simply means you can have a site with 2 pages hosted on a webflow.io subdomain). The other two plans Lite and Pro, simply increase the number of projects you can have (10 in Lite and unlimited in Pro), a staging environment with 100 pages, code export, and project transfers. Webflow also has Team Plans if you require multiple people to have access to the Designer view of projects. However, just like with the other plans, only one person can be working in the Designer on a single project at any moment.
