The promise of AI in engineering simulations

In response to the question regarding the perceived value or importance of AI for Simulations, 67% of survey participants felt AI is a Beneficial technology for simulations while 31% felt it was Critical.

Breaking the AI barrier: Why adoption stalls

Based on the industrial survey carried out as part of the research, only 20% of the participants said their companies were using AI in production, while 72% said their companies were still in the piloting or exploring stages

The T-O-E framework was used to categorize the factors into Technological, Organizational and Environmental factors
Factors impacting the AI adoption decision (Kini, 2024) categorized using the T-O-E framework (Tornatzky, Fleischer and Chakrabarti, 1990)
Hypothesis testing of survey responses was conducted to determine, statistically, which factors were of highest concern for the participants
Hypothesis testing of survey responses indicating AI Integration, AI Explainability, AI Maturity and Budget Availability to be the factors of greatest concern (Kini, 2024)
