It also reminds me of something I read maybe 20 years ago of a large hotel planning to spend 300K$ to upgrade their air cooling system until a regular guest made them notice the hotel was a lot cooler before they had repainted…

That reframing sometimes looks like “choose better hold music while the customer still waits on hold for an hour” — so I could counter that reframing must be done very carefully.
