Two lines of monospaced text.
In a monospaced font like IBM Plex Mono every letter has the same width.
Comapring the same line of text in regular and bold, for a normal and uniwidth font.
Usually, the letters of proportional typefaces have different widths in different weights, but in a uniwidth typeface, different weights occupy the same space.
Hovering over menu items in a normal and uniwidth font.
Using a uniwidth typeface one can easily animate the weight of interactive text elements without affecting the surrounding layout.
