Trustability can be created through design but not trust. Trust is not a choice, it is more of a process and design alone is not capable of making this process happen.

But good design can definitely initiate and catalyse this process.

Very intersting point of view. It is hard to imagine when a trustworthy sign become abused. I also think of another example: scammer have been using .org domain to gain people's trust. We need a beter supervision on the symbols and tag to give users a more comforable and reliable space on the internet.
