We’ve recently partnered with talented illustrator Shreya Damle to help bring to life one of our recent series here on the UX Collective.

Leading with Craft is a limited series of articles where we shed a light on stories of designers with successful careers as individual contributors. We have noticed an abundance of resources out there for designers switching careers to management, but a gap for those who want to continue to focus on their craft. This series highlights professionals who never let their seniority move them away from what made them great in the first place: their practice, their passion, and their craft.

Since the beginning of this series, Shreya has been an amazing partner in bringing these illustrations to life. Aside from being a really talented illustrator, Shreya has been professional, dependable, responsive, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure her illustrations are properly representing our guests — while still maintaining her own trace, personality, and illustration style.

Also, our project with Shreya was the first paid project in her professional career(!). Shreya is an international graduate student at MICA, Baltimore, and right after her graduation, she was able to jump right in and work with us on this.

The series is coming back next year (with new guests) and we can’t wait to work with Shreya again. If you want to see more of Shreya’s work, check out her website.

Thanks Shreya Damle 💙
