This is a really interesting thought that I’ve personally never heard or thought of before.
It’s kind of eye-opening for me since it should be so obvious, yet most places I visit don’t really implement it.

Combining sorting and filtering tools in an horizontal toolbar at the top can give them more visibility.

Where’s the evidence to back this statement up? Surely this is purely hypothetical and each site should be tested with real users to see where they are engaging , I don’t think there is one right answer here.
