Are you guys planning on testing this at all? I would be curious to see if the changes actually perform better. All of these changes seem reasonable and like they *should* help, but that doesn’t always translate to reality.

Please cross check this part in usability testing as persistent buttons in the footer invite unwanted taps while scrolling the list.
