Gen Z humour: playful insights boosting virality

Two screenshots of the Duolingo app. The left one shows a red gem award for achieving the Ruby League for 17 weeks. The right one shows Duo the owl with make-up on, indicating the user spent 342 minutes learning this year.
Some of my favourite insights from my review that really made me laugh, and consequently want to share.

Are you safe from Duo?

Two screenshots of the Duolingo app. The left one shows a suspenseful message asking if the user is safe from Duo. The right one reveals a celebratory message congratulating the user on a 409-day streak.
Luckily, I was safe from Duo. Phew.

Entertaining content on Duolingo’s official Instagram page which reinforces the meme image of Duo as an ever-watchful owl we should all be terrified of upsetting.
