The second tip I can share with you from failing my first freelance job (2/3)

This is a series of 3 articles, with every article I share with you one lesson I learned from failing my UX freelance job.

A photo looking at city from the eyes of someone with visual impairment holding glasses to enhance his sight.

It was devastating, I was exhausted and I suddenly lost my motivation completely. At first, I didn’t know exactly what the cause was of my down period. Not much later I realized I had to analyze my life and the past period to see what major change has taken place. When I started to analyze my life, I soon found out that there didn’t happen any major changes in my life the last couple of months, except for one. I’d failed my freelance job. Funny thing, I didn’t even realize it yet. But that moment when I started analyzing it came to me that this job is no longer and I’m done here.

Recap

The previous article I touched upon the fact that answering an open question. The question wasn’t formulated according to the SMART principles which made it a tough start. (if you missed the story see below)

What are your thoughts?

The variable reward point is not something I've ever considered in the context of CRM. Super smart. I've always focused on variable rewards within the app itself (e.g. gamifying techniques) but it's actually a core part of marketing and relationship building too. Cool!

I am a huge fan of B&W and their email strategy too. I'm definitely on a VIP list or equivalent haha - great article!

With immaculate brand visuals to match, they really hit it out the park!
