Anakin vs Obi-Wan, with Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes and Marvel Strike Force on their respective faces
Two mobile games battle it out, like Anakin vs Obi-Wan from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Original photo and icon credits to LucasFilm, EA/Capital Games, and Marvel/Scopely.

Rising Through the Ranks

SWGoH

Amilyn Holdo is ready to be promoted, but Galaxy of Heroes does not highlight that
Amilyn Holdo is ready to be promoted, but Galaxy of Heroes does not highlight that.

MSF

A new unit is ready for activation in the Marvel Strike Force roster
I’m ready to activate a new unit, and can do so without needing to scroll through my roster to find it.
Scrolling down my roster, I can see Captain Marvel is ready to rank up.

Power! Unlimited Power!

SWGoH

Viewing ability upgrade text in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes
Tapping on the locked ability upgrade lets me view the text after it’s applied to the description. That way I have a full understanding of the ability details.

MSF

Some abilities and their upgrades can be hard enough to follow, but the fact that the changes are not reflected in the original description makes the experience more frustrating

Assemble!

SWGoH

Galaxy of Heroes Squad Management Screen, with multiple squads in multiple tabs.
I have two tabs, but can create many more, with any number of squads under each tab. I could also create even more tabs!
Galaxy of Heroes squad selection screen, which does not display unit synergies.
General Skywalker leads the 501st Clone Battalion into combat, but it’s not immediately clear that these units all work well together.

MSF

Marvel Strike Force squad management screen, which is not as robust as Galaxy of Heroes.
I’ve already got 5 squads saved, and many more units to level up and create teams with.
Marvel Strike Force squad selection screen, which shows green icons with number inside to indicate synergies with ohter units
In selecting these units, which make up the X-Force team, you see that there is great synergy based on the numbers on each character.

Gimme the Goods

SWGoH

The Fleet Arena store in Galaxy of Heroes

MSF

The main store in Marvel Strike Force. The terms of service text links out of the app entirely, interrupting the experience.

Duel of the Fates

SWGoH

Many late-game players and I have no reason or desire to have the icon that links to this offer on our home screens.

MSF

Draft mode lets you test out your roster against another player with no strings attached!

The Bottom Line

I have been playing both games for quite some time, and I will share my 3 main points on why MSF is superior to SWGOH.
>:) First off, in swgoh it is mandatory to take a toon to 7 stars and G13 (minimum) before you can even utilize that character. The…
