I use dark modes specifically to avoid high contrast. High contrast hurts the eyes at night. Maybe I*m the only one but I highly doubt it.

Books are printed with black ink on white paper for a reason. It is harder on the eyes to have white type on a black background.

I believe that there is a problem with the idea of accessibility being centered only around those who have visual impairments. The example of the website actually causes me discomfort, and it seems like those of us who have sensory processing…
