Immersing in Innovation: An Introduction to XR User Experience Design
The transition to VR/AR challenges us to rethink fundamental design paradigms that have been rooted in 2D. For example, how should we design interactions when the body becomes the new mouse or the environment around us becomes part of our user interface? How do we optimize usability while preserving the sense of immersion that is core to VR and AR experiences?

On the other hand, these technologies offer immense opportunities to push the boundaries of creativity and interactivity. They promise to transform abstract concepts into tangible experiences, overlay digital information onto our physical world, and create a sense of presence and engagement that is difficult to achieve with traditional screen-based interfaces.
Experts predict that over the next 5 to 10 years, 3D digital design will become as commonly used as 2D design is today.
Just as photography, desktop publishing, and the internet have become ubiquitous, the expectation is that 3D design tools and services will become widespread and easy to use.
