I love it personally—Leon hits the nail on the head. The pinnacle of UX and design is working within the constraints and limitations of the whole experience, and making it appear as one

The dynamic island will have usability issues for users with lazy eyes, wandering eyes & change blindness. The unused viewport real estate will be distracting in games that need for screen real estate as well as video players.
