Most common problem with most UIs & how to fix it

Over the years I have analysed many digital products. Some of them were for clients, others for keynotes and events. They were both very large, established products and plenty of startups.
We even ran a short event called “App Roast” back in 2017, during which using a standup roast style we poked some fun at popular digital products. It was a beer fueled, meme-filled wild ride, so obviously it was quite fun to do.

At some point however I realised, that if we wanted to make more of those events, we’d have to do them in different cities. The audience was entertained and happy to learn the first time around, but on the second event they already expected most of the key points. That kind of ruined the fun, like telling the same jokes to the same audience and only changing the small details.
