To add to this great article… cultural norms influence our neurobiology. So sampling/dataset bias can limit how broadly applicable findings are.

Indeed, like overwhelm/cognitive overload response is always going to activate in the amygdala and prefrontal cortex. I’ve also read that some cultures react differently—to a UI’s information density with some Eastern cultures preferring dense info.
