Why is it so hard to choose a place to eat?
5 mistakes restaurants make when crafting their online presence.
How do you choose somewhere new to eat? Maybe you look on Maps to see what’s available nearby. And check the restaurant’s website to see what’s on the menu and the prices. Then maybe have a look at reviews on Tripadvisor. And if you’ve been through all those steps, and you like it, then you might look for somewhere to book online.
But imagine there’s also a constraint on your choice: a dietary restriction. Let me tell you something about me; I’ve got a disorder called coeliac disease which affects about 1 in 100 people. It means I have to stick to a 100% gluten-free diet. If I don’t it can cause me a lot of pain, sickness and potentially long-term damage. If you don’t know what gluten is, it’s hidden in basically everything.
When I look for a restaurant, on top of all the considerations above, I also have to make sure I can trust the restaurant to serve me something that won’t make me ill.
